New Year's Resolution Worth Considering

WHEW...with the holiday excitement and madness over, I am able to catch my breath to wish you all a Happy New Year, as well as thank you for your business in 2008! What an incredible year it has been, and I look forward to 2009!

I thought long and hard about my New Year's Resolution for 2009. Like many of us, in assessing my business plan for the upcoming year, I wanted to take into consideration the "concerns" of the economy. For a few days, I truly contemplated the logistics of taking a whole different approach in products I offered, where to "trim" my budget, etc. until I had a thought pop into my head.

We are all victims (if you will) of the "fear" of how things are going to be in 2009. The fact is, people don't want to believe all the hype, but they are afraid not to. I am not suggesting that things aren't "different" than they were a couple years ago. What I AM suggesting, however, is that they aren't "as bad" as the media may present.

So...for 2009, I have resolved not to bury my head in the sand, and fall victim to the fear of what "might happen", as I truly believe that if we all follow that path, our fate is such. Instead, as I have always believed that my attitude will set the stage for my accomplishments, here is a New Year's Resolution worth considering:

Believe that this year will bring good things to you and your family. Embrace 2009 with optimism, as well as realism. Be prudent in your actions, but also know that our economy is fueled by each of us...so...make the decision to "invest" into our economy. Believe that if each of us were to continue "business as usual", that things would return to "business as usual".

And so it is...my New Year's Resolution for 2009 for Sweet Baby To Be is "business as usual". But...I can't do it without you, so may I say "thank you" in advance! Cheers to a prosperous 2009 for us all!
